10 Of the Best LEGOLAND Florida Rides For Toddlers
If you are planning a trip with toddlers to LEGOLAND® Florida, this is the guide for you. I have complied a list of LEGOLAND Florida rides that are “toddler friendly”, and approved by my four-year-old. That way even the littlest members of the family can have a great time, too.
❤️A special thank you to LEGOLAND® Florida for hosting four members of our family during our recent visit in exchange for my honest and unbiased review. All opinions are my own.❤️

LEGOLAND Florida
On a recent trip to Florida, we made a stop at LEGOLAND®, in Winter Haven, Florida, which is only about 45 minutes from Orlando and downtown Tampa. When traveling with children, sometimes it can be hard to find things to do that appeal to different age groups.
Not at LEGOLAND® Florida.
At the time of our visit, my youngest was just shy of turning four, and my older two were ten and seven. I was amazed at how much there was to do for kids of ALL ages. (Yes, I’m talking to you adults too!) While the park is geared towards children 2-12, if you have a LEGO lover in your family, you are sure to have a good time.
10 Of the Best LEGOLAND Florida Rides For Toddlers
#1 Fun Town – The Grand Carousel
The Grand Carousel is located right in the middle of Fun Town, which is on the “main road” into LEGOLAND®. Here, children have the opportunity to ride a LEGO® horse, or enjoy a sleigh ride, on two different levels. That’s right, this carousel has two levels!
I don’t remember how many times we actually went on the carousel, but I can tell you, it was a lot. If your child doesn’t want to go up and down, they also have sleighs on both levels, where you can just sit and enjoy the ride.
#2 Duplo® Valley – Tractor Ride
Since we love everything farm related, we are a little partial to the tractor ride inside DUPLO® Valley. The DUPLO® block farm set was a favorite of all three of my children, so it was great to see it brought to life.
Each tractor has two rows: the front row with a steering wheel for kids, and the back row is for the parent. Sorry, no steering wheel for you. As you make your way around a track, you will see many farm animals including chickens, sheep, and a dog. There are also interactive stations outside the tractor ride where kids can push buttons to make different farm animal nosies as the tractor passes by.
#3 Duplo® Valley – Train Ride
Also located inside DUPLO® Valley, is the DUPLO® train ride. All aboard for your tour through DUPLO® city, past familiar characters who are taking part in a family barbecue and fishing.
*Bonus* Splash Pad
We were surprised to find a splash pad right in the middle of DUPLO® Valley. It is such a great way for little ones to cool off, and gives them the opportunity to run around instead of standing in a line.
#4 LEGO® Kingdom – Merlin’s Challenge
Inside LEGO® Kingdom is the Merlin’s Challenge ride. My son had a blast on this one, but I can see how it could be a little too much for younger children. It goes up and down on a track, spins in a circle, and gradually goes a little faster. The kids sit on the inside, so there’s no worry about them getting squashed by an adult.
*Bonus*
Inside LEGO® Kingdoms there is a dining option called Kingdom Cones which has an amazing wooden play structure- another great opportunity to burn off some energy after waiting in line.
#5 Land of Adventure – Beetle Bounce
Beetle Bounce is a drop ride that raises you 15 feet in the air where you will await the drop to bounce you back down to the ground. There are two beetle obelisks in operation, which makes for a quick-moving line, a blessing when it comes to younger children. One adult rides in the middle seat with three seats on each side for children.
#6 – Land of Adventure – Lost Kingdom Adventure
Also located inside the Land of Adventure is the Lost Kingdom Adventure Interactive ride. Hop aboard and journey into ancient times and battle skeletons for the treasure. The vehicles can seat four people who are each equipped with laser guns, controlled by you, so everyone can give it a shot to defeat the bad guys. Just a heads up, if you have a little one who doesn’t like the dark, this ride operates indoors, so it is dark but not completely. It’s kind of like watching t.v. without any lights on.
Check out our interactive ride experience at LEGOLAND Discovery Center in Michigan.
*Bonus*
Pharaoh’s Revenge is an open-air play area located inside Land Of Adventure. Inside you can try your hand at shooting foam balls at targets, or climb your way though the play structure. This is the perfect spot for younger children to play if they didn’t want to take part in the Lost Kingdom Adventure ride.
#7 – Land of Adventure – Safari Trek
Grab your safari hat and climb aboard the zebra striped, open top safari vehicles. Each vehicle seats two adults and/or children, and both seats have their own steering wheel so everyone can feel like they are in control. If you are a parents, you know what I’m talking about!
Make your way along the track and keep your eyes open for the life-sized safari animals built entirely with LEGO® bricks.
There is a pride of lions on the rocks, giraffes snacking on the highest leaves, and even a few playful elephants. Also, some animals are animated so watch out for the elephants. Don’t say I didn’t warn you!
#8 LEGO® City Boating School
LEGO® City was our favorite section of the park. It was awesome to see some of my son’s favorite LEGO®s brought to life, including boats, cars, and firetrucks.
Our first stop was the Boating School where you get the chance to be your own boat captain! Each boat is equipped with a gas pedal and a steering wheel! And YES… you are the one controlling where the boat goes!
Guide your boat along the nautical route where you will encounter other sea captains and even some pelicans. A few of them may even try to get you wet.
#9 Ford® Junior Driving School
The Ford® Jr. Driving School allows children, from ages 3-5, to get behind the wheel of a pint-sized car that they actually get to drive. The LEGOLAND® employees are close by to help them if they get into a crash. If you have older children, there is also The Ford® Driving School, for kids ages 6-13, where they can get their LEGO® license, hop in their own ride, and head to town.
#10 LEGO® City Fire Academy
Last of our Legoland Florida rides, but certainly not least, is the LEGO® City Fire Academy. This was by far my son’s favorite ride.
RRRRRIIIIIIINNNNNNNGGGGGG!! Let your training begin!
After you slide down the pole (a.k.a. wait in line) everyone loads up into a firetruck. There are four firetrucks, which each contains a team of firefighters (That’s you!). When the bell rings, two people will start hand pumping the firetruck to move it down the track. Once you arrive at the scene, everyone jumps out to fight the fire; two people pump the water, while another person aims the water at the target. Once your fire is extinguished, you will race back to the finish line.
Everyone in our family loved this ride, especially the competitive ones. We lost track of how many times we loaded up into a firetruck, but I do know it was a lot! My son is still asking if we can go back to fight the fire.

I always wonder if the creator of Legos imagined that they’d make theme parks movies out of them. I think it’s so cool! Thanks for sharing your experience!
